Great interest at public event on Vulcan’s project plans in Landau’s industrial park
On 21 May, an information event organized by the city of Landau on Vulcan’s planned geothermal energy and lithium extraction plant (G-LEP) in the Messegelände Süd-Ost industrial park took place in Landau’s Jugendstil-Festhalle. The hall was filled to capacity and many interested citizens took the opportunity to find out more and ask questions.
The planned plant will produce climate-neutral thermal energy and lithium in the future. This climate-neutral heat will be used to supply the city of Landau and the surrounding communities as well as to supply energy to industry and commerce. The climate-neutral lithium supports regional economic development and the green mobility transition in Germany and Europe.
In addition to Vulcan, the Mayor of Landau, Dominik Geißler, as well as representatives of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Geology and Mining and the Landau Economic Development Agency also spoke on the podium.
