In addition to supplying heat to the existing district heating networks in Landau, the facility is also used for lithium extraction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">Currently, after heat has been extracted, the cooled thermal water is directed to our neighboring LEOP plant, where it is mainly used for testing and optimizing our lithium extraction process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n                  <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n                              <div class=\"col-12 md:col-6 space-y-6\">\n                                    <div>\n                    <p class=\"mb-last-item\">In the future, the geothermal wells will be connected via pipelines to the commercial lithium extraction facility located in the D12 industrial area of Landau, enabling lithium production on a larger scale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">The existing power generation facility will be dismantled. At the start, the facility delivers up to two megawatts of thermal output depending on demand\u2014enough to supply households in the southern part of Landau with renewable energy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-last-item\">With the gradual expansion of capacity, the district heating network is expected to operate almost climate-neutrally by 2026\/27. From 2027 onward, parts of the city center are also planned to be connected to the network.
